Key Responsibilities
- Perform break-fix repair and replacement of servers, switches, routers, optics, and storage equipment.
- Handle hardware/software installation, configuration, cabling, and testing.
- Perform structured cabling termination and MAC activities for copper and fiber.
- Install racks, cabinets, and enclosures; prepare, stage, and energize equipment.
- Provide network operations support, including connectivity troubleshooting, system-level diagnosis, and link/port verification.
- Monitor infrastructure alerts and respond promptly to incidents.
- Conduct proactive infrastructure inspections and report potential hazards.
- Maintain accurate asset and cable-management records using Fluidstack-specified tools.
- Draft and maintain SOPs/MOPs.
- Mentor L1 personnel when required.
- Be available to work any shift on a 24/7 basis, including weekends and holidays.
Requirements
- 2–3+ years of hands-on Data Center experience.
- Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills with the ability to work under pressure.
- Experience with structured cabling and protocols such as Ethernet, Fiber, DWDM/CWDM, and MPLS, as applicable.
- Familiarity with BMS/EPMS.
- Strong documentation and communication skills.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Flexible to work 24/7 shifts, including weekends and holidays.
