Job Description

Position: Database Performance Engineer

Location: NYC, NY

Mode of work: Hybrid - ( 3 days onsite is must)

Duration: 12 Months

Note: In-Person interview required.- Preference will be given to local candidates as this role requires In-Person interview

The client islooking for a person who is not a database maintenance guy but a data engineer with deep DB2 and good Snowflake experience.

Here is what we are looking for:

• DB2 database expertise and DB2 development experience not a DB2 maintenance person(8+ years)
• Ability to think through issues like a DBA
• Deep experience in SQL performance tuning experience on DB2 (6+ years)
• Understanding, developing and refactoring stored procedures on DB2 to DB2 SQL (6+ years)
• Identifying stored procedures that can be extracted and programmed in Scala or a similar programming language (4+ years)
• Exposure and hands-on understanding of Snowflake warehouses and Snowflake SQL tuning (2+ years)
• Scala development to re-write existing Stored Procedures in Scala (4+ years)
