Database Engineer with Cloud Migration Experience - Remote

This role involves migrating databases from Oracle R12 DHW (on-premise/cloud) to Aurora PostgreSQL, utilizing tools such as Ora2PG, AWS SCT, and AWS DMS. The ideal candidate should have:

• Experience in data migration and data modeling in PostgreSQL
• Proficiency in writing database queries, procedures, and functions
• Strong analytical and debugging skills with SQL and PL/SQL
• Knowledge of data quality, security, and governance
• Expertise in PostgreSQL database performance analysis and SQL/pgSQL performance tuning
• Experience developing automation and using open-source tools

Responsibilities include:

• End-to-end data migration and modeling in PostgreSQL
• Ensuring the quality and validity of migrated data and processes
• Assessing source data, designing, and building migration solutions

This is a 100% remote, full-time position at the mid-senior level, in the IT Services and IT Consulting industry.
