Database EngineerPosition: Database Engineer (need someone who understands database tech in a cloud environment. Fairly flexible on possible skill profiles- will be figuring out what to do with all the data they have in their cloud.)The candidate needs to have a good foundation in both SQL/NoSQL databases and be able to come in and look at their environments and help performance tune/troubleshoot any issues. The platform is built on MySQL, client data is coming in mostly from Oracle sources, and they are building search functionality into the app on LucidWorks, which is driven out of Solr (similar to Postgres), thus those 3 tech all being listed. All deployed on AWS.

So they need to be adept in understanding data schemas, data table concepts--- someone who is a sharp database professional with some cloud foundational knowledge with a good aptitude for learning, excellent soft skills.Database engineer, know cloud, performance tune a database. Various database tech such as – MySQL, Postgres Databases, Oracle Databases, should be really good in writing and optimizing SQL and PL/SQL. SENIOR GUY—need someone who can come in, solve issues for us.If they have experience on the analytics side, understand data intelligence- data analytics. Google Analytics, Tableau, or whatever.
