The Dev/Ops performs a variety of team tasks in deploying and maintaining all network, server, backup, and other IT infrastructure along with software development.
Push initiatives including Disaster Recovery, safety and Security in compliance with company standards. The Dev/Ops will work with the IT Supervisor and other IT Staff to support all local technical operations.Steel Dynamics will not provide sponsorship for employment visa status now or in the future for this role. Individuals who are found to require sponsorship now or in the future will be removed from consideration for employment for this position.ResponsibilitiesDuties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Maintain a safe work environment.Respond to staff requests for support followed up with diagnosing, troubleshooting, and solutions.Collaborate with IT team members to ensure department success.Assist in the design, deploy, and maintain data center, network, and end user infrastructure.Work with end users, management, and clients to assess and execute the needs of the business.Documenting solutions and tracking support requests using a helpdesk and project management tool.Manage tool updates, mitigate vulnerabilities, apply patching, and work to ensure proper security measures are taken at every turn.Developing technical documentation including requirements and user manuals where needed.Manage workload and work cohesively to achieve the greater goal.QualificationsRequiredA bachelor's degree in computer programming, computer science, information technology, or equivalent experience3+ year of Database experience3+ years of Network and PC Maintenance experience3+ years of Virtual Server experienceHistory of process improvement and problem solvingPrograming Knowledge and experienceGood verbal skillsDemonstrated leadership skillsStrong desire to learnPreferredExperience with the following:Active DirectoryC#,.NET 6 (or higher), PythonSQLVMWarePowerBISalesforceBluebeamAutoCadPlexus Industry leading certifications from one of the following:MicrosoftVMWareITILCisco/ArubaSteel Dynamics, Inc., and all affiliated entities are equal opportunity employers.
