Position Type: Full time Interview Process: Phone Followed by F2FUS Citizen, Green Card and GC EADJob DescriptionResponsibilities:Perform SQL Server database administration tasks, including, but not limited to: create scripts to maintain database objects, stored procedures, functions, and capacity planning. Maintain integrity of development and production environments.
Perform data extraction, transform, and load (ETL) activities using SSIS. Research, test, and implement patches, upgrades, and other routine administration activitiesTranslate and document customer requirements, recommend system solutions, and formulate detailed technical specifications from which enterprise applications are developed. Work closely with business partners to produce quality products that meet business needs.
Implement solutions adhering to guidelines laid out in the Software Development Lifecycle (SLDC), including requirements gathering, design, specifications, development, change management, testing, and deployment activities.Work collaboratively with team members and business partners in defining, designing, developing and implementing technology solutions to improve business functions.Develop data import and export routines to automate data loading. Design, develop and implement processes to extract, transform, and load (ETL) data from disparate data sources using SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS).Analyze database applications/queries and implement improvements to optimize performance.Develop system documentation for all developed applications databases, processes, and jobs, including flowcharts and data models.Understand the total IT computing environment and daily operations and understand the impact of planned changes. Provide tiered production support including a limited on-call work schedule.Track and report development progress and performance on a regular basis.Skills & Abilities:Demonstrated experience with large scale database design and development on the Microsoft SQL Server platforms including normalization techniques, writing stored procedures, triggers, performance tuning, etc.Strong understanding of how to maximize SQL Server application scalability, performance, recoverability, and maintainability.Experience in extracting, transforming, and loading (ETL) data from disparate data sources using SSIS.Demonstrated ability to access and integrate data from any heterogeneous data source whether Microsoft or non-Microsoft sources or whether structured, application, cloud or real-time data.Demonstrated ability to balance multiple concurrent projects of varying priorities and shift focus from one project to another with minimal loss of productivity or quality.Demonstrated experience supporting star and snowflake data warehouse schemas.Experience with adhering to usability, design and development standards.Demonstrated experience with all aspects of unit testing, performance testing and user acceptance testing.In-depth experience with the development lifecycle and software development methodologies.Familiarity with relational database normalization techniques
