Database AdministratorWe are seeking a Database Administrator to join our team.Responsibilities include administering, monitoring, maintaining, and supporting enterprise databases and related managed database applications across the task order environment. Participate in planning for future database expansion, enhancements, upgrades, and selection decisions. Ensure database performance, availability, and security through monitoring, tuning, optimization, and proactive issue resolution. Support database design and development activities and collaborate with cloud infrastructure teams to optimize database performance in on-premises and cloud hosting environments such as AWS and Azure.Required qualifications include experience administering enterprise databases in production environments, supporting database performance monitoring, maintenance, upgrades, troubleshooting, and operational sustainment.
Experience with one or more major relational database platforms such as Oracle, SQL Server, MySQL, or PostgreSQL.
Experience supporting backup/recovery activities and database security practices.
Experience maintaining documentation, status reporting, and ticket-driven operational support. Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Information Technology, Engineering Mathematics, or a related technical field and 5-7 years of relevant database administration experience. Active or must be able to obtain Public Trust.Preferred qualifications include experience supporting databases in both on-premises and cloud environments.
Experience with AWS and/or Azure hosted database services.
Experience with scripting/automation tools such as Terraform, PowerShell, or JSON-based automation.
Experience supporting federal IT environments and change-control processes.
