Database AdministratorLocation: Washington DC, 20001 (Onsite) In-Person Interview 7 Months Contract PositionRole Description: The Database Administrator provides, at minimum, the following general services related to Microsoft SQL Server databases:Designs and maintains on premises SQL Server databases and tablesProvide customer support, to internal and external customersProduce system and custom reports upon request using SQL queriesReviews and prepares technical documentation, including data dictionaries definitions, systems flows, program flows, database designsOversee enhancements and new feature deployment, including the development requirements and testing scriptsResponsible for database problem diagnosis and resolutionRecommends improvements to database systems based on the latest developments within the IT fieldResponsibilities:Plans, organizes, and implements projects in support of District's growing information demands.Ensures the effective use of District resources.Contributes to policies for effective process planning as it relates to new requirements.Possesses expert knowledge of the Structured Query Language (SQL) environment with particular emphasis on planning, analysis, design and implementation of reports and report interfaces intended for the end user.Participates in short-term tactical planning implementation.Contributes to long-term strategic planning.Minimum Education/Certification Requirements: Bachelor's degree in IT or related field or equivalent experienceSkill - Required No. of Years - Actual Years of Experience11-15 yrs. database design, documentation, and coding - yrs.
