What if you could use those skills to improve the database technology supporting the Department of Defense?On our team, you'll apply leading-edge principles and concepts to constantly look for ways to implement database tuning and performance optimization, design and deploy highly available database clusters on multiple networks, and configure, maintain, and test failover mechanisms routinely. You'll provide your client with peace of mind as you work on unusually complex problems and provide highly innovative solutions to ensure the security and integrity of the database.
You'll use technology and tools to identify problem areas and opportunities for improvement in a mission critical database.Qualifications7+ years of experience with SQL database development and administration3+ years of experience with deployment and administration of Postgres or other open-source SQL databasesExperience with installing, configuring and administering EnterpriseDB Postgres Advanced Server or PostgreSQL in a Linux environmentExperience with database replicationKnowledge of EnterpriseDB Failover Manager or Replication Manager (repmgr)Experience with database backup and recoveryKnowledge of Backup and Recovery Tool (BART), Barman, or pgBackRestAbility to attain a DoD 8570 IAT Level II Certification or higherDesired Qualifications:Experience with leveraging Postgres Enterprise Manager to monitor and manage Postgres databasesExperience with migrating from other database systems to PostgresExperience with EDB Postgres for KubernetesExperience with Ansible or other configuration management and automation toolsKnowledge of PostGIS extensions and functionsDoD 8570 IAT Level II Certification or higher
