Managing and administering corporate databases in a full-time remote capacity, the Database Administrator II will oversee installation, configuration, maintenance, and performance optimization across various database platforms including Microsoft SQL Server, MySQL, and PostgreSQL. Key responsibilities Administer and manage SQL Server, PostgreSQL, and MySQL database platforms, ensuring reliability and performance Monitor database performance, troubleshoot issues, and implement best practices for data management and security Collaborate with application development and IT teams to provide database support and facilitate access to third-party resources Required qualifications Bachelor's degree in information systems, computer science, or related field, or equivalent work experience 5+ years of experience as a Database Administrator, including managing backups and data archival Proficiency in ETL tools and writing SQL scripts for database management Experience with Amazon Web Services Relational Database Service (RDS) platforms Familiarity with database administration tools such as RedGate SQL Toolbelt and SQL Clone
