Database Administrator (DBA)Position Location: Dallas, TX, 75234.Work Arrangement: 5 days onsitePay Range: $55 - 60/hr. on W2 ONLYLength of Assignment: 12 Months Contract to Hire role.Function of the Group: Mitigating Risk/Generating Revenue/Cost Reduction.Industry Background: DB(database) Engineering.Role/ResponsibilitiesCoordinate the collection, normalization and analysis of datasets across multiple data platforms.Assist in designing and building data service infrastructure across multiple data platforms.Work with analytics teams to ensure functionality in data systems.Participate in the development of and implementation of data solutions for multiple applications to ensure scalability and maintainability.Design and implement process improvements including automation of processes and redesign of data infrastructure. Owns significant components of the database platform (specific schemas/domains, key performance areas, or HA/DR operational ownership) with minimal guidance.Leads technical workstreams (e.g., partitioning rollout, performance remediation, operational readiness) and drives them to closure.Improves runbooks/automation; contributes to production incident response and prevention.MUST HAVE SKILLS: Level 5 – 8+ years minimum:Strong hands-on experience designing and operating high-volume, enterprise OLTP databases supporting mission-critical transactions.Advanced SQL and performance tuning experience,MySQL,Oracle,Experience with operational best practices: backup/restore validation, patch planning, monitoring/alerting, incident response, and runbooks.Proven ability to collaborate across engineering, operations, and security with clear, structured communicationFLEX SKILLS:Exadata experience,Data Guard experience (HA/DR, role transitions, validation of primary/standby states),Golden Gate experience (replication design/operations),Understanding of enterprise MySQL deployment/replication patterns (e.g., primary/replica cross-site patterns.Education: Bachelors Degree Required.Interview Process: 1st Round w/HM • 2nd Round potential panel w/HM and other developersStack Ranking (Most Important to Least Important): 1.
