Responsible for standards and design of physical data storage, maintenance, access and security administration. Performs backup and recovery on Database Management Systems, configures database parameters, and prototype designs against logical data models, defines data repository requirements, data dictionaries and warehousing requirements. This position optimizes database access and allocates/re-allocates database resources for optimum configuration, database performance and cost. Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or other related field. Or equivalent work experience. Typically has 5 to 7 years of experience working with various database management systems in database design, testing, implementation, maintenance and administration in a multiple platform environment. Remote Worker but will need to travel to office for meetingsDuration: ASAP till 12/31/2016 (due to security check requirement, the actual start date may be late September or early Oct.)Job Responsibilities:Working on setting up database backup using AvamarSkill Requirement:a. Have excellent DBA skills either in Oracle or MSSQL Server database administration experience. Having both skills is highly preferred.
Experience with DB2 (UDB) is also a plus.b. Must be very familiar with database backups.
Experience with Avamar backup is a big plusFlexible work Hours: 8 hours a day, from 1pm to 5pm, and 7pm to 11pm.
