Requirements
- 5+ years of experience as a Database Administrator
- Hands-on SQL Server experience (SQL Server 2016 or newer)
- Experience supporting SQL Server and MySQL in a multi-node cluster environment
- Strong knowledge of backup/recovery strategies, security, data integrity, and T-SQL
- Experience with database design for performance optimization, application development, and data warehousing
- Strong troubleshooting and production support skills, including clear stakeholder communication
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field (or equivalent combination of education and experience)
- Willingness to support after-hours work during planned implementations and unplanned outages as needed
- Maintain and optimize enterprise databases to ensure performance, stability, availability, and recoverability
- Plan, coordinate, test, and execute database upgrades and migrations
- Develop and standardize database deployment methodologies, processes, and documentation
- Implement monitoring to capture production workloads and replay them in lower environments for upgrade testing
- Partner with application development teams on database planning, design, implementation, and documentation
- Troubleshoot production database issues and communicate root cause and resolution to stakeholders
- Manage backup and recovery models; monitor jobs, health checks, and operational status
- Monitor database growth and provide forecasting to support capacity planning
- Enforce database conventions and security standards across the environment
