Database Administrator, Production ServicesAs a Database Administrator you provide support to our Development, Test, and Production environments. In this position you will be responsible for the creation and administration of multiple database schemas. You will work with different database platforms including Oracle, Microsoft and Postgres.
You should have strong troubleshooting skills as they will be crucial to this role. Lastly, the expectation is that you will participate in an on-call rotation.The TeamAdvanced Process Solutions (APS) develops software to support work flowing through and between Fidelity business units. Our software help move work through Fidelity, providing a link between multiple coordinated applications.
Out team manages the databases used for both developing and supporting the software for the business units.The Expertise You HaveExperience performing Oracle 19c database administration for high availability systems, within the financial services or similar industryExperience with Microsoft SQL ServerBS in Computer Science or related degree, or equivalent experiencePerform applications database administration (Oracle, Postgres, and SQL Server) services including SQL code review, performance analysis, query tuning, database application design, physical data modeling, development support & Engineering.Proven analytical, data mapping, and problem-solving abilities with strong judgment, issues management and process analysis skills.The Skills You BringProficiency in SQL and PL/SQL languageProven experienced DBA who can analyze and implement database technology infrastructure solutions with minimal direction required and demonstrate the technical curiosity to fix and resolve technical issues quickly.Proficiency in Scripting languages and Unix Shell Scripting.
