The Data Warehouse Manager at National Indemnity Company in Omaha, NE will lead and develop a team of data warehouse professionals including developers, BA/QA, and support staff. This hybrid role requires 50% in‑office attendance.
The Data Warehouse Manager is responsible for the growth and development of the Data Warehouse team, overseeing daily operations, training, and process design. They manage communication with vendors, regulators, product owners, underwriters, managers, and programmers, ensuring issue resolution and technical support for data needs.
What will you do?
- Supervise members of the Data Warehouse, providing regular guidance and instruction on technical and non‑technical topics; collaborate with other managers to assess performance and identify growth opportunities.
- Communicate with outside vendors, state regulatory representatives, internal product owners, subject matter experts, underwriters, other managers, and programmers to understand, troubleshoot, and resolve complex problems.
- Manage and determine activities of personnel by setting work procedures, issuing written and oral instructions, analyzing and resolving work problems, and assisting employees to solve work issues.
- Oversee all aspects of data feeds and reports, perform analysis on reporting processes, and identify opportunities to create enhancements and improvements.
What are we looking for?
- Bachelor's degree in a related field.
- Experience working with Data Warehouses, Data Marts, etc.
- Knowledge of Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban, etc.).
- Experience with data manipulation software.
- Familiarity with insurance coverages, rating schemes, and insurance products.
- Experience with cloud‑based technologies such as Azure (DevOps, Data Studio, etc.).
