  • Manage the complex Common Batch Framework and Common Scheduler to ensure current, reliable data is available for critical business processes and decision-making
  • Own Data Warehouse change management infrastructure, including all code and DDL promotions — performing build engineer tasks for both manual and automated promotion processes
  • Administer the Linux security model on DW ETL servers — authorizing user access to groups and sudo privileges (servers themselves are administered by a separate infrastructure team)
  • Manage Teradata security and access
  • Conduct data architecture reviews and audits to ensure alignment with enterprise standards
  • Create and maintain comprehensive documentation of data architecture, processes, and solutions
  • Provide escalated troubleshooting and resolution support for Data Warehouse issues
  • Evaluate and recommend new data technologies and tools to improve performance and scalability
  • Ensure data quality, accuracy, and effective use of enterprise data assets
  • Manage and support data integration processes, including ETL workflows across multiple systems
  • Collaborate with external vendors and third-party service providers as needed
  • Support patch management, system upgrades, and ongoing system maintenance
  • Monitor system performance and troubleshoot technical issues across data platforms
  • Perform data profiling and implement data quality rules for assessment and validation
  • Execute data cleansing and standardization using built-in and custom data rules
  • Develop and maintain disaster recovery and backup strategies for data systems
  • Lead migration of data warehouse processes to standardized/common frameworks
  • Conduct elevated access reviews and user audits to ensure compliance
  • Identify and remediate audit findings related to data systems and security

Requirements

  • 8+ years of Teradata experience (top requirement)
  • Experience supporting the loading of data from multiple source systems
  • Ability to provide targeted training and technical guidance to development teams for troubleshooting and batch support
  • Minimum of 5 years of Linux experience
  • Proven ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team environment
  • Strong decision-making skills, with the ability to determine appropriate solutions while adhering to organizational and regulatory policies
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical thinking skills, particularly in troubleshooting complex data and system issues
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to translate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Preferred Qualifications
  • Previous government or public-sector experience
  • Experience with cloud-based BI tools
  • Experience with cloud-native platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure)
