Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced and creative Data Visualization Specialist to design, develop, and maintain compelling dashboards and reports using a variety of datasets. This role requires strong expertise in Power BI and familiarity with other tools like SQL and Tableau. The ideal candidate has a sharp eye for detail, a deep understanding of data storytelling, and can translate complex data into actionable insights.
Key Responsibilities:
* Design and build dashboards, scorecards, and visual reports using Power BI and other BI tools.
* Collaborate with data teams to gather requirements and identify KPIs and data relationships.
* Ensure accuracy, usability, and aesthetics of data visualizations to support business decision-making.
* Work with large datasets from multiple sources, transforming them into clean, concise visuals.
* Maintain and improve existing dashboards based on stakeholder feedback and evolving needs.
* Provide recommendations on data visualization best practices and editorial presentation.
* Troubleshoot and optimize performance of reports and data queries.
Required Qualifications:
* 3-10 years of experience in data visualization or business intelligence roles
* Strong proficiency in Power BI
* Experience with SQL for data extraction, transformation, and loading
* Working knowledge of Tableau or similar visualization platforms
* Understanding of database design, data warehousing, and data governance principles
* Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
* Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills
Preferred Qualifications:
* Experience with DAX, Power Query, or Python/R for data manipulation
* Familiarity with cloud data platforms (e.g., Azure, Snowflake, AWS)
* Background in UX/UI design for dashboards is a plus
