To support the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs, a mid-to-senior level Data Scientist with Analytics Expertise will work full-time, either onsite in Tysons, VA, or remotely, focusing on data engineering, visualization, and applied program evaluation using SQL, Python, and Microsoft Power Platform. Key responsibilities Lead the design and delivery of analytics products, combining SQL-backed data and reproducible analytical workflows Partner with program leadership to translate complex program questions into actionable technical requirements and analytical objectives Develop and maintain Power BI dashboards and Power Apps experiences to enhance program performance and operational insights Required qualifications Bachelor's degree in statistics, data science, computer science, or a related field; advanced training is highly valued 6+ years of experience in data analytics, program evaluation, or related quantitative disciplines Strong SQL skills and experience with complex relational data models and cohort construction Proficiency in Python or R for data manipulation, visualization, and statistical modeling Demonstrated ability to select and defend appropriate analytical methods and assess uncertainty in findings
