Someone who is happy to work within a team and contribute but also happy to work on their own when required.Looking for someone to fit right into that - NEEDS to be a self-starter, self-driven, solution oriented individual.Happy to work with little to no instructions (vague requirements to research and run with)Experience with working in distributed teams would be a plusFull Squad Overview:Using technology and innovation, this “Proof of Value” (PoV) Squad focuses on new innovative ideas and it is their role to prove or disprove their worth (test a business problem hypothesis).Anyone within the company can put forward an idea and any idea that could add value to the company is worked on. Ideas can touch any area of the business so this role will never get boring nor repetitive.This squad than performs 12 week sprints (reporting progress every 2 weeks) to test the idea by tackling the hardest part first to see if they can overcome that.
The aim is to confirm the potential of the idea or “fail fast” in a positive way.Once a PoV is successful it is a different team that scales it to production and this PoV squad moves onto the next 12 week sprint/idea.20% of time is given to “free time” where you could work on any new tools/software’s/ideas yourself, the only stipulation is that you do a presentation to the rest of the team and that hopefully the tools would add some value to their PoV as a whole.This squad has a mix of specialists so that they can tackle any idea using technology across AWS, Azure, Python, React, IoT. AI/ML etc.
