Join CGI Group, Inc. as a Data Scientist supporting a client’s mission to build an enterprise analytics platform in an agile environment. This onsite role in Washington, DC pairs deep technical work with opportunities to bring new data science approaches into multiple active work streams.

You’ll work with modern data and BI technologies while contributing to improved client reporting. What you’ll do

  • Apply in-depth technical capabilities to support multiple work streams and help drive adoption of new techniques and solutions.
  • Use data and technical expertise to perform analysis, data mining, and visualization with Business Intelligence tools and data development platforms.
  • Evaluate data quality using SQL and data analysis techniques to strengthen client reporting capabilities.
  • Track technology trends in data science and communicate how they can benefit future platform development.
  • Participate in team problem solving and contribute ideas to address client issues.
  • Understand data needs and build data pipelines that automate and accelerate data preparation.

What you bring

  • US citizenship is required due to government contract and/or clearance requirements.
  • An interim Secret clearance is required to begin onsite work, and a Secret clearance must be maintained throughout the project duration.
  • Bachelor’s degree or master’s degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, or a STEM-related discipline .
  • 3 to 4 years of experience working on Analytics and Business Intelligence focused initiatives, preferably in consulting.
  • 3 to 4 years of experience using Python, R, or other languages to build statistical models or analyze data.
  • 3 to 4 years of experience creating complex SQL queries and functions , data structures, and strong analytical problem solving skills.
  • Experience with self-service Business Intelligence and data visualization tools such as Tableau, Power BI, Business Objects , etc.
  • Experience working in an Agile-based environment .
  • Strong technical and troubleshooting capabilities.
