Job Title: Data Scientist - TS/SCI Clearance

Location: 5 days a week onsite in Springfield, VA

Job Type: Contract/Contract to Hire

Compensation: $85.00 - $95.00 / Hourly / W2

Benefits: This position is eligible for medical, dental, vision, and 401(k).

Work Authorization: Must be authorized to work in the United States

We are seeking a Data Scientist for an onsite, full-time role in Springfield, VA supporting defense, intelligence, and federal clients. The position focuses on developing machine learning and analytics solutions for mission-focused use cases, including signal processing, geospatial analytics, computer vision, anomaly detection, and predictive modeling.

Key Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain data pipelines for structured and unstructured data
  • Develop ML, deep learning, NLP, and computer vision models
  • Analyze data to identify patterns, trends, and relationships
  • Transform raw data into operationally useful outputs
  • Support edge-computing and low-bandwidth environments
  • Work with Python, APIs, Docker, Git, Jupyter, VS Code, and CI/CD pipelines
  • Collaborate with analysts, engineers, and mission stakeholders

Required Qualifications

  • Active TS/SCI clearance
  • Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
  • 4+ years of data science, machine learning, or analytics experience
  • Strong mathematics/statistics foundation
  • Experience with:
    • Python (NumPy, Pandas, Scikit-learn, OpenCV)
    • SQL
    • R
    • Git
  • Experience delivering end-to-end analytics solutions

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's degree or relevant certifications
  • FastAPI, Docker, cloud platforms (AWS/Azure), REST APIs
  • Software development and process automation experience
  • National security, defense, or intelligence community background
  • Edge AI and low-latency ML deployments
  • Agile development experience
