As a Data Scientist, you will blend analytics, data mining, machine learning, and software engineering to build solutions that will result in massive improvements to the way we do business.
You will be responsible for developing and improving key decision systems, predictive models, and business processes to drive maximum business impact. You will develop a profound understanding of our customers, products, and financials by studying the data that describes each of these elements. Most importantly, you'll be part of a team that forms the backbone of a company at the forefront of an exciting, growing industry.Your day-to-day:Build, maintain, and improve decision systems and predictive models that are key to Progressive Leasing's competitive advantageExplore new data sources both internal and external to Progressive and use findings to further improve model performanceDesign, implement, and read in-market experiments testing new algorithms, technologies, and processesPrototype solutions to business problems using cutting-edge technologiesRecommend and support strategic changes through rigorous analytics, creative problem solvingIdentify, evaluate, and help implement advanced analytics methodsBe part of a collegial team of like-minded data scientists!You'll bring:2+ years experienceMaster's degree in a quantitative/technical field (Math, Stats, Econ, Eng, Physics, CompSci)Experience with R, Python, machine learning tools, and SQLEvidence of applying advanced models to real-world problemsAbility to craft rigorous research/evaluation designsAI-enabled tools are already part of how work gets done across our organization, and that's only going to expand over time.
