Data Scientist
Location: US-remote | Type: Contract | Experience: 5+ years
We're hiring a Data Scientist for a contract role focused on applied work that ships into production across enterprise client engagements in financial services, energy, and industrial environments.
This is a senior individual contributor role with end-to-end ownership, from problem framing through deployment. You'll build and tune models across regression, classification, time series, experimentation, and applied machine learning, while working closely with engineers and product managers on pipelines, monitoring, and retraining strategy.
The right candidate brings 5+ years of applied data science experience and a track record of shipped models. Strong Python and SQL skills are important, along with hands-on experience in modern warehouse-centric environments using tools such as dbt, Snowflake or BigQuery, and Airflow or similar orchestration platforms.
You should be comfortable working in client environments with mixed levels of technical maturity, documenting your work clearly, translating findings into executive-ready recommendations, and owning the technical narrative with external stakeholders. Consulting or agency experience is strongly preferred, along with client-facing polish, autonomy, and the ability to work through short delivery cycles.
