Develop and enhance our in-house suite of power market and dispatch models, directly expanding the depth and accuracy of Modo’s product offering.

  • Turn complex data into insight

Source, process, and interpret large, complex datasets used as inputs to our forecasting and optimisation models.

  • Own quality and credibility

Analyse model outputs and perform rigorous quality assurance to ensure the highest standards across our published numbers and customer-facing deliverables.

  • Shape the forecast narrative

Craft the story behind our forecasts, including expectations around future policy, market design, and structural changes in power markets.

  • Build for the user

Work in a product-focused way to ensure our forecasts and tools align closely with user needs and deliver clear value across the wider Modo team.

  • Work across teams

Partner closely with our development team to ensure seamless integration of models and outputs into the Modo Energy Terminal.

  • 3–5 years’ experience using Python (or another programming language such as R, C++, or Java)
  • Proven experience producing high-visibility, customer-facing analytical outputs
  • Previous experience modelling power systems and/or energy assets, particularly:
    • Power price forecasting
    • Optimisation and dispatch models
    • Locational dynamics and real‑time operations
