Data ScientistThe Data Scientist position is a hands-on role to execute on multiple data and advanced analytics initiatives managed by Data Management Office. We are looking for a data science practitioner to drive our data-driven decision-making process from business analysis, data exploratory analysis, machine learning model building, automation of actionable insights for sales and senior executives. He/she should be a self-starter and team player, and should be able to support activities with minimal supervision support.Job Responsibilities:Process, analyze, and label various unstructured data sources from disparate systems (pdf, word, etc); collaborate with various departments to ensure accurate and comprehensive data labeling.Utilize OCR tools and methodologies to effectively extract data from image-based contentImplement advanced techniques for data cleaning, tokenization, stemming, and other text pre-processing methods for model fine-tuning.Manage and enhance the existing LLMs to fit client's specific needs for unstructured data extraction from various input data sources.Develop, implement and fine-tune/scale Client models to generate predictive and/or prescriptive analyticsTest and assess continuously the performance of the trained models on new and existing data, ensuring they meet the bank's requirements for accuracy and efficiency.Implement strategies to overcome challenges related to limited data and lack of labeled datasets; techniques to artificially augment data or sourcing more representative samples.Clearly communicate the findings, insights, and the capabilities of the models to senior executives and business stakeholders, ensuring that the outcomes align with the program objectives.Experience and Skills Required:Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience in Data Science, AI, or a related field.Minimum of 3 years' hands-on experience in natural language processing or related fields.Proficiency with prevalent NLP libraries and tools.Experience in statistical programming languages such as Python, R & SQLUnderstanding different types of Client algorithms (for e.g.

supervised, unsupervised, etc.)Demonstrated expertise with OCR tools and strategies, especially in data extraction from image-based sources.Must have strong communication skills and suitable in teamwork environmentProven ability to work in multidisciplinary teams and deliver within tight deadlines.Bilingual (English and Mandarin, speaking and writing), is preferred, but not mandatory
