DIA's analysts are swimming in more data than any human can read. Your job is to make that data work for them. As a Data Scientist supporting the Defense Intelligence Enterprise, you'll build the tools, models, and pipelines that turn massive, messy, multi-INT data into insight, from recommendation engines and automated lead scoring to predictive models that help analysts see around corners. This position is contingent upon award of contract, business needs, security clearance verification, and funding availability.
Location: National Capital Region (NCR)
Work Schedule: (shift hours and days of the week)
0600 and 1800 – 8 hours M‑F
Essential Responsibilities
- Conduct data analytics, data engineering, data mining, exploratory analysis, predictive analysis, and statistical analysis on intelligence data sets
- Build ML-based tools and processes, such as recommendation engines and automated lead scoring systems, that automate analytic workflows
- Correlate data into graphical, written, visual, and verbal narrative products that enable more informed analytic decisions
- Proactively retrieve and merge information from disparate sources using Python, R, and SQL
- Build high-quality prediction systems and apply data mining algorithms against large-volume, multi-INT data
- Deliver visualizations in Power BI, Tableau, and other graphical applications that make complex findings immediately understandable
Minimum Requirements
- Active TS/SCI clearance
- 8+ years of relevant data science or advanced analytics experience, with recent experience within the last 2 years
- Bachelor's degree in data science, computer science, statistics, or a related field
- Skill in major data science languages, including R and Python, and in managing and merging disparate data sources through R, Python, or SQL
- Proficiency in data visualization tools including Power BI and Tableau
Security Clearance Required
Active Top Secret/SCI security clearance
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior DIA or IC data science experience
- Experience deploying ML models in classified environments
- Relevant certifications in data science, cloud, or ML platforms

Compensation
120,000 - 160,000
