Job Summary:
The Daily Wire is seeking a Data Scientist to join their Analytics & Data Science team, leading predictive modeling efforts to grow their subscription business. You will design and own data science solutions to enhance engagement, reduce churn, and identify growth opportunities, collaborating with various teams to deliver insights.
Responsibilities:
- Design, build, and refine predictive models for engagement and retention using statistical and machine learning techniques.
- Conduct analyses on acquisition, onboarding, engagement, and churn to generate actionable insights.
- Develop segmentation frameworks for targeted messaging and product experiences based on user behavior and preferences.
- Architect and evaluate A/B and multivariate tests to measure interventions' effectiveness.
- Partner with engineering teams to improve data collection, integrity, and pipeline reliability.
- Automate reporting, build dashboards, and lead performance reviews with stakeholders.
- Drive audience research and cohort analyses to inform strategy and campaigns.
- Promote data-informed decision-making across the organization, influencing product, editorial, and marketing priorities.
- Stay current with industry trends in predictive modeling and analytics.
Qualifications:
Required:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s in Statistics, Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- 4+ years in data science, analytics, or machine learning, preferably in subscription/digital consumer business.
- Experience building and deploying predictive models (churn, engagement scoring).
- Expertise in SQL and proficiency in Python or R.
- Experience designing and interpreting experiments, with causal inference understanding.
- Familiarity with CRM tools and marketing attribution frameworks.
- Strong communication skills to translate data into business recommendations.
- Ability to work cross-functionally in a fast-paced environment.
- Passion for uncovering data patterns and strategic insights.
