Data ScientistAt RedDrum, we solve the world's most complex data challenges. Our mission is to develop cutting-edge data solutions that protect our nation's freedoms and expand our global intelligence capabilities.We are seeking data scientists to support advanced analytics and natural language processing (NLP) initiatives. In this role, you will develop and apply AI/ML solutions to large, complex datasets, including language data from both spoken and written sources.

You will build and improve models for tasks such as tokenization, part-of-speech tagging, and performance evaluation against human-generated annotations.This position requires strong experience with Python and Jupyter notebooks, along with a solid foundation in statistical analysis, data modeling, and machine learning.Key responsibilities:Develop, test, and deploy machine learning models, with a focus on NLP applicationsDesign automated solutions for language data processing, annotation, and analysisAnalyze large, complex datasets to generate actionable insightsEvaluate and improve model performance using statistical methods and benchmarking techniquesTranslate mission needs and analytic questions into technical solutionsCommunicate findings clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholdersBuild reproducible workflows for data processing, modeling, and visualizationRequirements:Experience with machine learning, data modeling, and advanced analyticsProficiency in Python (required), including Jupyter notebooksExperience with NLP techniques and frameworksData management, cleaning, and transformation experienceStatistical analysis skills, including hypothesis testing, inference, and exploratory data analysisExperience with large-scale data processing tools (e.g., Spark or cloud platforms) is a plusFamiliarity with SQL and data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI, or Python libraries)Ability to work collaboratively and communicate complex concepts effectivelyEducation and experience:Bachelor's degree with 3-15 years depending on levelAssociate's degree with 5-17 years depending on levelDegrees should be in Data Science, Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Engineering, or a related field.
