We deliver tailored solutions, tested leadership, and trusted results to enable national security missions worldwide.Job DescriptionSOSi is seeking a Data Scientist III to support cybersecurity data science and enrichment activities in alignment with our customer. This role is responsible for applying data science, machine learning, and data engineering techniques to enhance enterprise security monitoring, detection, threat hunting, user and entity behavior analytics, and data correlation services supporting cyber defense operations.ResponsibilitiesDevelop and apply data science, machine learning, and analytical models to support cyber defense operationsSupport security monitoring, threat detection, threat hunting, and User & Entity Behavior Analytics (UEBA) through data enrichment and modelingExamine and correlate data from multiple disparate sources to generate insights into threats affecting the enterpriseDefine input/output requirements, data workflows, and completion criteria for products, data, and deliverables supporting other teamsSupport development and integration of data engineering pipelines, automation workflows, and analytical outputsApply programming and data analysis techniques using Python, JSON, C++, Java, R, or ScalaSupport deployment and operation of solutions using Kubernetes and DockerSupport integration of cyber data models with SIEM and SOAR platformsApply MITRE ATT&CK and MITRE D3FEND concepts to support cyber analytical use casesQualificationsExperienceFive (5) or more years of experience in machine learning engineering, data science, data engineering, or software developmentExperience applying machine learning methods to complex data problemsExperience supporting cyber data models and analytical workflowsExperience integrating or supporting SIEM and SOAR technologiesExperience using Kubernetes and DockerExperience with programming languages including Python, JSON, C++, Java, R, or ScalaExperience applying MITRE ATT&CK and MITRE D3FEND concepts in cybersecurity contextsClearance/SuitabilitySecret (eligible)EducationMaster's or PhD in a quantitative field, or equivalent experienceCertificationsCertified Analytics Professional (CAP)Additional InformationWork EnvironmentNormal office conditions with potential to perform duties in deployed locations.Core hours of operation are Monday through Friday, 0600 – 1700.May be requested to work evenings and weekends to meet program and contract needs.Working at SOSiAll interested individuals will receive consideration and will not be discriminated against for any reason.
