The Ideal Candidate
The Data Scientist III within the Fair and Responsible Banking 2LOD Complaints Team at TD will help to build the next generation of complaint intelligence and reporting capabilities. The ideal candidate will possess strong data science, analytics, visualization, and leading technology skills with a practical understanding of compliance, risk, and data governance. This role will be at the forefront of transforming complex customer complaint data into actionable insights that support US Compliance stakeholders, senior management, and multiple committees across TD. The successful candidate will be comfortable interfacing with a myriad of complaint data stakeholders, translating business needs into scalable complaint data products, tools, and reports, as well as embracing AI enabled capabilities, including Machine Learning, NLP, and LLMs while fostering clear human in the loop controls, transparency, and governance.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop modern complaint intelligence capabilities that transform complaint data into meaningful, action insights to inform compliance, risk mitigation, and identify potential customer harm.
- Develop and maintain a robust inventory of complaint dashboards, reporting, and analytics products using software tools such as Power BI, Python, SQL, R, Excel, and PowerPoint to deliver decision ready information to TD partners.
- Apply advanced analytics, machine learning, NLP, and LLM capabilities to identify complaint trends, emerging risks, themes, root causes, and customer impact to inform compliance strategies.
- Launch new complaint data products and analytical tools from requirements gathering, design, development, testing, implementation, and ongoing maintenance.
- Provide effective oversight of 1LOD complaint data handling including complaint taxonomy, data methodology, data quality, data completion, data lineage, controls, and data interpretation.
