We are looking for a Data Scientist to lead research and thought leadership to drive our data and insight strategy for AWS. The role is a Full Stack Data Scientist responsible for driving data‑driven transformation across the organization, handling the end‑to‑end data science lifecycle from data exploration, ETL, model development and data visualization, using tools such as Spark, Airflow, Hugging Face and other machine learning frameworks.

Key Job Responsibilities

• Work with large and complex data sets to solve a wide array of challenging problems using different analytical approaches.
• Develop ML/AI models and partner with software teams to productionalize these models.
• Design and implement data pipelines and infrastructure.
• Define and develop advanced, customized metrics and KPIs, continuously monitor and evaluate performance.

Basic Qualifications

• 3+ years of data scientist experience.
• 3+ years of data querying languages (e.g., SQL), scripting languages (e.g., Python) or statistical/mathematical software (e.g., R, SAS, Matlab).
• 3+ years of machine learning/statistical modeling data analysis tools and techniques, and understanding of parameters that affect performance.
• Knowledge of relevant statistical measures such as confidence intervals, significance of error measurements, development and evaluation data sets.

Preferred Qualifications

• 6+ years of data scientist experience.
• 4+ years of machine learning, statistical modeling, data mining, and analytics techniques experience.
• Experience with data scripting languages (e.g., SQL, Python, R) or statistical/mathematical software (e.g., R, SAS, Matlab).
• Experience with clustered data processing (e.g., Hadoop, Spark, MapReduce, Hive).
• Experience in an ML or data scientist role with a large technology company.
