Data Scientist I supports government and program teams by assisting with data analysis, visualization, and reporting to inform mission, operational, and business decisions under senior supervision.What will you do?Support collection, cleaning, and preparation of structured and semi‑structured dataAssist with exploratory data analysis and basic statistical assessmentsDevelop simple dashboards, visualizations, and analytical summariesSupport documentation of data sources, assumptions, and methodologiesParticipate in analytic working groups and technical discussionsAssist with maintaining data pipelines, scripts, and analysis artifactsSupport coordination between data engineers, analysts, and mission stakeholdersDo you have what it takes?TS/SCI with Poly Required1-4 years of experience supporting data analysis or analytics projectsFamiliarity with Python, R, SQL, or similar analytical toolsFamiliarity with tools such as Jupyter, Tableau, Power BI, or similarBasic understanding of statistics and data visualizationStrong analytical and communication skillsBachelor’s Degree in Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, or related fieldPreferred Qualifications:Experience supporting federal, DoD, or IC programs, Exposure to mission, operational, or enterprise data sets, Familiarity with tools such as Jupyter, Tableau, Power BI, or similar(Note: Contingent upon program award).Pay Range: VTG’s estimated starting pay range is $105,000 - $215,000 annually, which is a general guideline for the geographic location. When extending an offer, VTG also considers work experience, education, skill level, market considerations and may possibly include contractual requirements which may cause an offer to fall outside of this range.
