We are seeking a Data Scientist for a full-time position in Arlington, Virginia. This role focuses on developing and maintaining machine learning solutions using cloud-based data analytics platforms and modern data processing tools.
Responsibilities
- Develop, manage, and maintain machine learning solutions
- Build data science solutions using cloud data services
- Design and implement ML models for complex analytical problems
- Process and analyze large datasets using data processing languages
- Document solutions and methodologies clearly and comprehensively
- Collaborate with team members and stakeholders to understand requirements and communicate findings
Qualifications
- Required
- 5+ years of practical data science or data analytics experience
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Analytics, Engineering, Mathematics, Business, or related field
- Proficiency in data processing languages: SQL, Python, or Scala
- Experience developing machine learning models beyond logistic regression
- Knowledge of cloud data analytics solutions
- Experience with Azure infrastructure, specifically Azure Data Lake and Azure Data Factory
- Experience using Databricks for machine learning algorithm development
- Strong documentation skills
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with strong critical thinking and attention to detail

- Primary experience with PySpark, Python, and SQL
