Key Responsibilities

  • Own the accuracy, completeness, and consistency of core marketing and CRM data across systems, setting the standards and validation rules that govern data quality organization-wide.
  • Lead a structured audit of existing data to establish a baseline of completeness, accuracy, and consistency, and set priorities for remediation.
  • Direct root cause investigation into reported bugs and data anomalies, ensuring fixes address underlying causes rather than symptoms.
  • Partner with DataOps management to align on remediation strategy, prioritization, and resourcing.
  • Lead the implementation of both immediate fixes and systemic, preventative solutions in collaboration with teams across the organization.
  • Design and implement monitoring solutions using appropriate tooling to proactively surface data quality issues before they impact the business.
  • Lead the design of a cohesive, end-to-end observability solution for marketing data, spanning ingestion through reporting.
  • Establish dashboards and SLAs with stakeholders to track data health, completeness, and remediation progress.
  • Report on data quality trends, recurring issues, and clean-up progress to DataOps and senior stakeholders.
  • Build institutional knowledge by documenting data quality issues, root causes, resolutions, and monitoring logic.
  • Coach and influence front-line teams on data quality practices to prevent issues at the point of entry.

Experience and Qualifications

  • 8-10 years of experience in data quality, data governance, data operations, or a related data/analytics discipline.
  • At least 4-5 years in a role with direct ownership of data quality remediation, monitoring, or observability tooling.
  • Demonstrated track record of leading a data clean-up, migration, or remediation initiative at scale, with measurable outcomes.
  • Strong analytical and root cause analysis skills, with the ability to investigate anomalies across complex, interconnected data systems.
  • Experience working with marketing or CRM data systems, including Salesforce and Pardot.
  • Strong SQL skills and experience querying and validating data across systems.
  • Excellent cross-functional collaboration, stakeholder management, and communication skills, including reporting to senior management.
  • Ability to work independently, prioritize competing issues, and drive remediation through to completion.

Desirable Skills

  • Experience with Salesforce (CRM and/or Data Cloud).
  • Experience with Pardot or comparable marketing automation platforms.
  • Experience with marketing analytics platforms (e.g. Adobe Analytics).
  • Experience with BI/reporting tools (e.g. Tableau).
  • Familiarity with Snowflake and data warehousing
  • Experience with workflow/automation or integration tooling (e.g. Workato).
  • Experience designing or contributing to data observability frameworks and dashboards.
  • Experience setting and reporting against data quality SLAs.
