Job Description
nWe are seeking a highly organized, driven, and technically savvy Product Owner - Data Quality & Governance to join our growing Data Office team. This individual will partner closely with Data Governance, Data Quality, Engineering, and Supply Chain stakeholders to drive initiatives focused on data quality, data governance, metadata management, lineage, and compliance.
nThe ideal candidate is a hands-on Product Owner who can own the backlog, facilitate Agile delivery, coordinate across technical and business teams, and drive accountability from concept through execution. This person will play a key role in advancing ongoing Data Quality and Governance initiatives, including adoption and expansion of Microsoft Azure Purview, data observability, and enterprise governance capabilities.
nResponsibilities
nOwn and manage the Data Quality & Governance product roadmap, backlog, priorities, and sprint planning activities.
nPartner with Data Governance, Data Engineering, Supply Chain, and business stakeholders to translate requirements into actionable user stories and acceptance criteria.
nLead Agile ceremonies including backlog refinement, sprint planning, ticket review, and approval workflows through Jira.
nCollaborate with Scrum Masters and cross-functional teams to ensure successful execution of 50+ work items per sprint.
nDrive implementation and continuous improvement of data governance frameworks, stewardship models, data quality standards, and remediation processes.
nSupport and expand enterprise data governance initiatives, including metadata management, lineage tracking, cataloging, and governance controls.
nHelp drive the ongoing Azure Purview proof-of-concept and future enterprise rollout efforts. (Purview_POC_v2 | PowerPoint), (Wesco - Pu...Salvador | Word)
nEstablish and measure KPIs around data quality, governance maturity, compliance, and operational effectiveness.
nCreate executive-level presentations, roadmaps, dashboards, BRDs, process documentation, and governance artifacts.
nSupport audit readiness activities, evidence collection, SOX-related controls, and governance documentation efforts.
nMaintain governance and process documentation within Confluence and SharePoint.
nServe as a visible, accountable leader who drives initiatives to completion and proactively removes blockers.

nSkills and Requirements
n5+ years of Product Owner, Product Management, Business Analyst, Program Management, or related experience.
n3+ years driving Data Quality, Data Governance, Data Management, or Analytics initiatives.
nExperience managing Agile delivery teams utilizing Jira and Confluence.
nHands-on experience working with Microsoft Azure Purview (catalog, lineage, governance, metadata, classifications, or stewardship initiatives).
nStrong understanding of:

nExperience working with data platforms including:
nInformatica IICS
nAzure
nDatabricks
nSQL
nAbility to work closely with engineers while translating business requirements into technical deliverables.

nExceptional communication, documentation, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.
nExperience building executive-ready presentations, roadmaps, dashboards, BRDs, and process documentation.
nSelf-starter mentality with a strong sense of ownership and accountability. Experience with Monte Carlo Data Observability.
nUnderstanding of Supply Chain data domains and business processes.
nExposure to SOX controls, audit readiness, compliance, and governance programs.
nExperience supporting enterprise data catalog, lineage, or metadata programs.
nAbility to read and understand SQL queries, scripts, and ETL processes.
nExperience working with Data Quality monitoring, rule creation, profiling, and remediation workflows.
nFamiliarity with Informatica Data Quality, CDQ, CDGC, or similar governance tools.
nExperience supporting large-scale enterprise data transformation programs.
nPower BI reporting and dashboarding exposure.
nPrior experience working with executive stakeholders and governance councils.
