Role: Data Modeler
Location: Dallas TX - Hybrid 2-3 days onsite

Overview
We’re seeking an experienced Data Modeler to design and maintain enterprise data models supporting critical business, analytics, and operational systems. The ideal candidate will have strong erwin Data Modeler, Oracle, and SQL Server experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Design conceptual, logical, and physical data models using erwin Data Modeler.
- Create, review, and optimize DDL scripts for database objects.
- Perform forward and reverse engineering of Oracle and SQL Server databases.
- Translate business requirements into scalable, normalized data models.
- Collaborate with Data Architects, DBAs, ETL Developers, and business stakeholders.
- Support dimensional modeling for data warehousing and analytics.
- Conduct model reviews, impact analysis, and version control.
- Support data governance, metadata, naming standards, and lineage documentation.
- Optimize data models for performance, scalability, and maintainability.
- Support database migrations, schema comparisons, and environment synchronization.
Required Qualifications
- 10+ years of enterprise data modeling experience.
- Must have hands-on expertise with erwin Data Modeler (required).
- Must have advanced SQL skills with strong Oracle and Microsoft SQL Server experience.
- Must have strong knowledge of DDL, tables, indexes, constraints, sequences, synonyms, and views.
- Must have understanding of database performance, indexing, partitioning, and query execution plans.
- Must have experience with data modeling best practices, including normalization and denormalization.
- Strong communication, documentation, and presentation skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively with technical and business teams.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Star/Snowflake schemas, SCD, or Data Vault.
- Experience with Git or model comparison/diff tools.
- Hadoop or MongoDB experience.
- Experience supporting data governance and architecture initiatives.
