Location: Boston, MA (Hybrid role with 2-3 days in office every week)

Role Overview

  • We are looking for a go-getter person who can define:
    • Data strategies to meet the demands of business requirements
    • Technical requirements of the organizational data needs from diverse teams
    • Data architecture, models and go-forward data solutions for various teams of the organization
  • The person will be working for a major Insurance client. He/ She will work with different stakeholders to identify data points and analyze/ profile the data to understand the data pattern, rules and underlying business logic.
  • A suitable candidate should have minimum of 10 years of experience in a similar role and should possess a go-getter attitude. He/ She should be able to deal with ambiguity.
  • Experience in insurance is mandatory.

Key Responsibilities & Skillsets

  • Collaborate with business and data teams to understand data requirements and translate them to logical and physical data models
  • Design and develop data models that are efficient, scalable, and meet the specific needs of the insurance industry
  • Utilize data modelling methodologies to ensure data integrity and consistency
  • Create and maintain data dictionaries and metadata to document data models and facilitate future data management
  • Identify and resolve data model performance issues to optimize database efficiency and overall system functionality
  • Work collaboratively with database administrators and development team to ensure seamless data model implementation
  • Strong understanding of relational database concepts like normalization, entity relationship modelling etc.

Candidate Profile

  • Bachelors/Master's degree in computer science/engineering, operations research or related analytics areas; candidates with BA/BS/MCA degrees in the same fields from the top tier academic institutions are also welcome to apply
  • Minimum 10 years of experience as a data modeler
  • Able to work in fast paced and a continuously evolving environment
  • Excellent communication, collaboration and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
