This role focuses on cloud-based data engineering, automation, and data quality to ensure reliable ingestion, transformation, and integration of data across platforms.Responsibilities include:Design, develop, and maintain robust, scalable, and secure data pipelines using ETL/ELT methodologiesBuild and operate cloud-based data pipelines in AWS or Azure environmentsPerform data transformations, validation, and quality checks to ensure data accuracy and reliabilityAutomate data workflows and infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) principlesDevelop and maintain data integration processes supporting batch and near-real-time data flowsImplement and optimize distributed data processing solutionsEnsure data pipelines adhere to security, performance, and compliance requirementsTroubleshoot and resolve data pipeline and integration issuesCollaborate with architects, analysts, and stakeholders to support data integration requirementsDocument data pipelines, workflows, and technical processes in accordance with Federal standardsHere's what you need:Four (4) years of hands-on experience in data engineeringFour (4) years of experience building and maintaining cloud-based data pipelines in AWS or AzureExperience developing, implementing, and maintaining secure and scalable ETL/ELT data pipelinesExperience performing data transformations and data quality checksExperience automating data flows using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) principlesStrong proficiency in Python and SQLExperience working with a distributed data processing framework such as Apache SparkBonus Points If You Have:Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related fieldExperience supporting Federal or DoW data environmentsFamiliarity with cloud-native data integration and orchestration toolsSecurity Clearance:Active Secret ClearanceEducation:Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field; five (5) years of experience providing IT services to DoW may be substituted in lieu of a Bachelor's Degree.Work Schedule:HybridCompensation and Benefits: The projected compensation range for this position is $127,000-$182,000.
