Building and operating data pipelines, the full-time Data Infrastructure Engineer will design scalable data ingestion processes and implement a modern lakehouse on AWS while ensuring data governance and automated CI/CD for reliable deployments in a remote environment. Key responsibilities Design and implement batch and streaming data ingestion pipelines from various sources, optimizing ETL/ELT workflows for analytics readiness Build and manage a scalable lakehouse on AWS, focusing on performance optimization and environment consistency Establish a managed metadata repository and governance controls, ensuring data quality and compliance across the data platform Required qualifications Bachelor's degree in Engineering, IT, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience) Minimum of six years of experience building production data pipelines and data platforms Strong experience with data ingestion, ETL/ELT workflows, and data modeling best practices Hands-on experience building a data lake/delta lake on AWS using object storage and modern table formats Proficiency in SQL and one programming language commonly used for data engineering, preferably Python
