Job Description
nContributes to the planning, design, and optimization of data center white space, including rack layout, hot/cold containment, network infrastructure, branch circuit distribution, power requirements, cable pathway, and projected expansion phases. Collaborates with colocation providers, developers, and multidisciplinary internal teams (e.g., mechanical, plumbing, construction operations) to assist in translating requirements from concept into robust, executable white space designs.

nKeyResponsibilities
nWhite Space and Infrastructure Design:
n-Assists in the planning, design, and optimization
nof data center white space, including rack layout, hot/cold aisle containment,
npower distribution, cable pathways, and build phases.
n-Maintains detailed white space documentation such
nas room layouts, rack elevations, bill of materials, and structured cabling
ndesigns.
n-Supports the development of design standards and
ndrafts Basis of Design (BoD) documents to help internal and partner teams
ndeliver consistent white space fit-outs.
n-Develops low voltage structured cabling systems
nto support scalable, high-performance compute, storage, and network systems
nunder guidance.
n-Reviews new site layouts and proposed fit-out
ndesigns, ensuring compliance with standards and providing feedback for
nimprovements.
nCross-Functional Collaboration and Stakeholder Engagement:
n-Collaborates with colocation providers,
ndevelopers, and internal teams (e.g., facilities, construction, operations) to
nassist in gathering, translating, and implementing requirements into executable
nwhite space designs.
n-Coordinates with multidisciplinary engineering
nfunctions (e.g., Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing, Fire, Controls) to support
nrobust integration and ensure reliable system performance.
n-Participates in project coordination meetings to
nalign on scope, timelines, and critical design updates, providing input and
nfeedback as needed.
n-Builds relationship with technology partners
n(e.g., network, compute, carrier) to locate information and resources.
nProject and Program Leadership:
n-Contributes to white space design initiatives and
nrelated engineering projects from concept through execution with minimal
nguidance.
n-Collaborates with internal and external project
nteam members, including contractors and vendors, during design, fit-out, and
ncommissioning phases.
n-Assists in ensuring project deliverables align
nwith company expectations, standards, and schedules.
n-Supports contract administration tasks, including
nreview of change orders, cost forecasts, and engineering documentation.
n-Receives mentorship from senior team members to
ncontribute to building organizational capability.
nOperations Support and Site Validation:
n-Assists with on-site design validation,
ncommissioning, and engineering analysis at new and existing data centers.
n-Supports the validation and integration of
nmission-critical systems with ongoing operations.
n-Provides engineering support during live events
nand incident investigations to ensure timely resolution and operational
ncontinuity, independently.
n-Gathers information to draft and maintain all
nrelevant documentation is captured, stored, and shared with operations and
nfield engineering teams.
nStandards Development and Governance:
n-Assists in the creation and evolution of global
ndata center infrastructure standards, policies, and procedures with minimal
nguidance.
n-Contributes to the development of documentation
nfor standards adherence, commissioning protocols, and system testing.
n-Supports other team members in engaging in design
nsummits, policy reviews, and commissioning activities to contribute to
ncontinuous improvement.
nTechnical Innovation and Engineering Excellence:
n-Maintains current designs, materials, and
nconstruction methods for mission-critical systems in data centers.
n-Supports the development and testing of
nengineering solutions using standard modeling, component testing, and
nengineering principles.
n-Helps create and validate digitized data center
nmodels to support design integrity and capacity planning.
n-Maintains the reliability and performance of
ncomponents, systems, and installation methods used in production environments.
n-Participates in internal engineering seminars,
ntraining programs, and knowledge-sharing initiatives.
nNetwork Expertise:
n-Contributes to collaboration with networking
nteams on network-related efforts (e.g., building fabrics).
nAutomation:
n-Supports partnership with software engineering
nteam to design data into digital systems for automation.
n-Assists with coordinating design data to work
nwith internal systems and databases.

nUS: Hiring Range in USD from: $102,300 to $209,500 per annum. May be eligible for bonus and equity.

Paid time off: Flexible Vacation is provided to all eligible employees assigned to a salaried (non-overtime eligible) position. Accrued Vacation is provided to all other employees eligible for vacation benefits. For employees working at least 35 hours per week, the vacation accrual rate is 13 days annually for the first three years of employment and 18 days annually for subsequent years of employment. Vacation accrual is prorated for employees working between 20 and 34 hours per week. Employees working fewer than 20 hours per week are not eligible for vacation.
