Data Entry Specialist (Remote)San Diego, California, United StatesAbout the JobFully remote Data Entry Specialist opening in California!15 hourly12 month contract with possibility of hireMonday-Friday; 8am-5pmMust be fully vaccinatedStrong typing skills: 35 WPMStrong Excel background preferredDutiesPerforms various and multi-functional clerical and administrative tasks with an emphasis on excellence, privacy, quality, compliance and versatility.Provides general guidance and assistance to the customer via telephone, written communication and/or in person.Perform office operations including; filing, organizing, copying, scanning, answering phones, and distributing materials.Organize, file, compile and distribute correspondence and other documents alphabetically, numerically, or by other prescribed method.Consult and coordinate with others to generate, assemble, and update correspondence, departmental files, systems, manuals, logs, materials and or packets.Provide general guidance and assistance to internal and external customer inquiries via telephone, written communication and/or in person.Assist departmental staff, as assigned, with clerical and administrative tasks and projects.Meet quality, quantity and timeliness standards to achieve individual and department performance goals as defined within the department guidelines.Demonstrate and maintain current working knowledge of the required systems, procedures, forms and manuals.Required Job SkillsIntermediate skill in use of office equipment, including copiers, fax machines, scanner and telephonesType > 35 words per minute with 5% error rate or lessBasic skill in word processing, spreadsheet, and database softwareIntermediate PC proficiencySit or stand for a minimum of 8 hours per dayMaintain confidentiality and privacyManage a large and diverse administrative workload under limited time constraintsPossess verbal and written communication skillsCapable of basic investigative and analytical researchNavigate, gather, input and maintain data records in multiple system applicationsFollow and accept instruction and direction in a rapidly changing, fast paced environmentEstablish and maintain working relationships in a collaborative team environmentPreferred Professional CompetenciesKnowledge of medical, pharmaceutical, and other health services, practices, and terminologyKnowledge of a wide range of matters pertaining to the organization's services and operationsRequired Work Experience1 year of experience in an office or clerical fieldPreferred Work Experience1 year of experience in health insurance, medical office, or other health related field1 year of experience in a sales or marketing fieldRequired EducationHigh-School Diploma or GED in general field of studyPreferred EducationAssociate's Degree in general field of study
