To support the evolution of data infrastructure, the full-time remote Data Engineer, State Licensed will design and operate ETL and ELT pipelines, manage data ingestion and quality, and collaborate with innovation teams to enhance analytics capabilities. Key responsibilities Design, build, and operate reliable ETL and ELT pipelines in Python and SQL, ensuring seamless data ingestion and quality across various layers of the Medallion architecture Develop schemas and enforce best practices for data governance, security, and compliance while maintaining clear documentation of datasets and pipelines Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate new data sources and prototype analytics tools that support internal stakeholders and drive decision-making Required qualifications 5+ years of professional experience in data engineering or related roles Strong proficiency in Python and SQL for data engineering tasks Hands-on experience with building and maintaining pipelines in a lakehouse or modern data platform Practical understanding of Medallion architectures and layered data design Familiarity with modern data stack tools, including Spark or PySpark, and workflow orchestration tools like Airflow or dbt
