Data Engineer (Senior)Location: Redstone ArsenalPosition Type: Full-TimePosition Overview: We are seeking a Senior Data Engineer to support complex data initiatives, including ETL development, large-scale data migrations, and high-performance data processing in a mission-driven environment. This role will work closely with engineering and analytics teams to design, build, and optimize data pipelines supporting critical systems.Key ResponsibilitiesDesign, develop, and maintain scalable ETL pipelines and data workflowsLead and support data migration efforts across enterprise systemsDevelop and optimize data processing solutions using Apache SparkWork with relational databases including Oracle and PostgreSQLWrite and maintain backend services and data integrations using JavaEnsure data quality, integrity, and performance across platformsCollaborate with cross-functional teams to support system modernization effortsTroubleshoot, optimize, and document data solutions in secure environmentsRequired QualificationsBachelor's degree in Engineering or a related technical fieldMinimum of 8 years of experience in data engineering or related rolesStrong experience with ETL processes and data migrationProficiency in JavaExperience with: NIFI, AWS, Spark / Scala, SQL / PLSQL, Linux, Agile, Maven, GitLabHands-on experience with Oracle and PostgreSQL databasesExperience using Apache Spark for large-scale data processingActive Top Secret security clearance (required at time of hire)Preferred QualificationsExperience supporting DoD or federal programsFamiliarity with large, complex data environments and legacy system modernizationCulture Requirements:Engineers, Analysts, and Developers at Cintel, Inc. are highly motivated, technical, and self-organized.
