Data Engineer- SeniorWe are seeking a highly skilled Senior Data Engineer to support advanced intelligence and analytics initiatives in Huntsville, AL. The selected engineer will work with a combination of open-source technologies, Commercial Off-The-Shelf (COTS), and Government Off-The-Shelf (GOTS) tools to develop and deliver an advanced visual analytic application. This application will transform streams of structured and semi-structured data into manageable, actionable intelligence for mission-critical operations.Key ResponsibilitiesDesign, develop, and deliver advanced visual analytic applications for desktop and web-based platformsDevelop and implement data analytics solutions that enable bulk analysis of relational and semi-structured dataUtilize advanced graphics, data visualization techniques, and high-performance computing to support intelligence workflowsDesign strategies for enterprise database systems, including standards for operations, programming, and securityDesign, construct, and maintain large-scale relational databasesIntegrate new systems with existing data warehouse architecturesOptimize system performance, scalability, and functionalityCollaborate with cross-functional engineering and mission teams to ensure successful delivery of analytics solutionsApply open-source, COTS, and GOTS technologies to meet program and government requirementsRequired QualificationsActive Top Secret (TS) security clearanceBachelor's degree (BS or BA) in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related technical fieldSenior-level experience in data engineering, database design, and analytics developmentExperience with: ETL, Informatica, LinuxStrong experience working with structured and semi-structured data sourcesExperience designing and supporting enterprise-scale database and data warehouse systemsProficiency with data visualization tools and analytic software for desktop and web environments8+ years of related experiencePreferred QualificationsExperience supporting Department of Defense or Intelligence Community programsFamiliarity with high-performance computing environmentsExperience integrating data analytics solutions into existing enterprise architecturesCulture Requirements:Engineers, analysts, and developers at Cintel, Inc. are highly motivated, technical, and self-organized.
