The ideal candidate will bring a strong commitment to professional development and a desire to succeed in a dynamic corporate environment.The Data Engineer designs, builds, and maintains scalable data integration pipelines and architectures within the Azure ecosystem, enabling the ingestion, transformation, and promotion of data across bronze, silver, and gold medallion layers.

Ensures reliable, high-quality, and governed data flows that support analytics, reporting, and downstream applications. Serves as a technical leader in data engineering, driving best practices in pipeline design, data modeling, and platform optimization.Key Responsibilities:Design, develop, and maintain end-to-end data pipelines to ingest data from internal and external systems into Azure data platformsBuild and manage data integration processes using tools such as Azure Data Factory, Azure Synapse, and/or Azure Data LakeImplement and enforce medallion architecture (bronze, silver, gold) for structured data refinement and consumptionTransform raw data into clean, validated, and enriched datasets suitable for analytics and business useDevelop and optimize data models and transformation logic for performance and scalabilityIntegrate data from APIs, SaaS platforms, databases, and third-party systemsEnsure data quality, consistency, and integrity across all pipeline stagesImplement monitoring, alerting, and logging for pipeline performance and failuresCollaborate with data analysts, data scientists, and product teams to support reporting and advanced analytics needsMaintain and optimize data storage solutions (e.g., Azure Data Lake, Synapse) for cost and performance efficiencyEstablish and follow best practices for version control, CI/CD, and deployment of data pipelinesDocument data flows, transformations, and system dependenciesRequired Qualifications:3+ years of experience in data engineering, ETL/ELT development, or data integrationHands-on experience building and maintaining production-grade data pipelinesExperience working within cloud-based data platforms (Azure preferred)Preferred Qualifications:Experience implementing medallion architecture (bronze/silver/gold layers)Experience integrating multiple enterprise systems (CRM, ERP, SaaS platforms)Experience supporting analytics or BI environmentsRequired Knowledge and Skills:Strong proficiency in SQL and data transformation techniquesExperience with Azure data services (Azure Data Factory, Azure Data Lake, Synapse Analytics)Expertise in ETL/ELT pipeline design and orchestrationStrong understanding of data modeling (relational and dimensional)Experience working with APIs, file-based ingestion, and streaming data sourcesKnowledge of data quality, validation, and error-handling techniquesStrong problem-solving and troubleshooting skillsPreferred Knowledge and Skills:Experience with PySpark, Spark, or DatabricksFamiliarity with Delta Lake and lakehouse architecturesExperience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices in AzureKnowledge of data governance, lineage, and cataloging toolsExperience optimizing performance and cost in cloud environmentsEducation Requirements:Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related fieldEquivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.About Troon:Founded in 1990 and headquartered in Scottsdale, AZ, Troon is the world's largest professional club management company, that specializes in services in golf, hospitality, and residential communities.
