Resource 1’s client is in need of a Data Engineer for a permanent position with our client in the North Suburbs. Individual will need to be local and able to work onsite in Glenview, IL. Position will focus on developing and supporting ETL pipelines using AWS services. Individual will interact with other departments within the organization so strong communication skills are required.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with stakeholders to translate requirements into data models.
- Develop and maintain data and cloud solutions leveraging AWS technologies.
- Develop/ maintain ETL pipelines to ingest and process data into Redshift data warehouse from various data sources.
- Build data ingestion jobs using AWS Glue, Airflow, S3, and related services.
- Write Python SQL queries for data manipulation.
- Build data pipelines across all layers of the Medallion architecture.
Required Skills & Experience:
- Data engineering experience using AWS services.
- Prior experience with AWS Redshift and Glue.
- SQL queries for data validation.
- Python programming experience.
