Data Engineer – Corporate Credit (Consultant)
Location: New York City or Dallas
Type: Long-Term Contract
We are seeking a hands-on Data Engineer to support a Corporate Credit technology team within a leading global investment management firm. This individual will be responsible for extracting portfolio and investment data from Chronograph, transforming and modeling it within Snowflake, and delivering clean, reliable data for Power BI reporting and analytics.
Responsibilities
- Extract and integrate portfolio and credit data from Chronograph and related source systems
- Design and maintain scalable data models and schemas in Snowflake
- Build and support SQL-based ETL/ELT pipelines and data transformations
- Prepare and structure data for Power BI reporting and dashboards
- Partner directly with investment and business teams to understand reporting needs and translate them into technical solutions
- Troubleshoot data-quality issues and improve the accuracy and reliability of reporting
- Automate recurring data and reporting processes
Qualifications
- Hands-on experience with Chronograph
- Strong SQL and data modeling skills
- Experience building ETL/ELT pipelines and working with complex financial datasets
- Experience with Snowflake or a comparable cloud data warehouse
- Experience with Power BI or a similar BI/reporting platform
- Background within financial services, asset management, private credit, private equity, or alternative investments
- Python and/or dbt experience is a plus
This is a long-term consulting opportunity with the ability to sit in New York City or Dallas.
