Data Engineer – Matillion Migration (Contract)

Location : Remote - US Based.

Duration : 6-12+ months

We’re looking for a Data Engineer with strong ETL migration expertise to accelerate a major Matillion-to-Snowflake migration in the utilities sector. This role offers the chance to drive impactful data infrastructure modernization while collaborating with agile teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead technical delivery of Matillion-to-Snowflake migration projects
• Collaborate with internal data engineering teams in agile sprints
• Ensure minimal disruption to operational data flows during migration
• Apply utilities-specific domain knowledge to optimize data models and ETL processes

Requirements

• Proven experience with Matillion ETL (migration and optimization)
• Hands-on Snowflake and cloud data architecture expertise (AWS preferred)
• Strong SQL, data modeling, and performance tuning skills
• Prior experience in utilities, energy, or ERP data environments
