The Tennessee Titans are looking for a Data Engineer - Football to help power football solutions with dependable data infrastructure. In this role, you will turn third-party football data into a clean, reliable platform by building data pipelines and models across a modern data stack, ensuring the data internal teams rely on is accurate, performant, and ready for change.
What you’ll do
- Design, build, and optimize scalable ETL pipelines and data models for a data warehouse, balancing performance , cost-efficiency , and flexibility as needs evolve.
- Own the process of importing third-party football data into the platform, including cleaning, transforming, reconciling inconsistencies and errors, and merging into the existing data model.
- Manage Docker-based deployments of data services to ensure repeatable and reliable delivery across development and production environments.
- Oversee end-to-end delivery of data engineering projects, supporting timely and high-quality outcomes for internal stakeholders.
- Explore practical uses of AI to support data model design, pipeline management, and identifying or addressing data anomalies.
What you bring
- 3+ years of hands‑on data engineering experience in a professional setting.
- Expertise in SQL and Python , including experience building production-grade ETL pipelines .
- Hands‑on experience with Snowflake and DBT , or a comparable cloud data warehouse and transformation framework.
- Deep understanding of data warehousing concepts and best practices.
- Experience with cloud platforms: Azure , AWS , or GCP .
- Experience with CI/CD best practices, infrastructure-as-code , and automated testing frameworks .
- Proficiency deploying and managing containerized applications using Docker in production environments.
- Strong Git skills, including branching, pull requests, and code review workflows.
