As a member of the Apple Silicon Technology group, you will collaborate in the design, creation, and enhancement of our data infrastructure, which underpins the productization of our semiconductors across iPhone, iPad, Mac, and numerous other devices. We are seeking a highly skilled Data Software Engineer to design, develop, and maintain scalable data infrastructure and software systems.

The ideal candidate will seamlessly bridge the gap between software engineering and data engineering, constructing robust data pipelines, analytics platforms, and data-driven applications that empower our organization to derive valuable insights from extensive datasets.ResponsibilitiesDesign and implement scalable data pipelines and processing systemsParse and process text logs and STDFDevelop and optimize database performance and query efficiencyImplement data quality monitoring and validation frameworksCollaborate with data scientists to productize machine learning modelsMonitor system performance and troubleshoot data infrastructure issuesMinimum QualificationsBachelors Degree plus 3 years of relevant experience(Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related)Preferred QualificationsThree or more years of experience in software development, with a specific focus on data systemsProficiency in Python programming languageExperience with Oracle SQL and database design principlesExperience with Linux operating systemsProficiency in version control systems (Git)Strong problem-solving and analytical abilitiesExcellent communication and collaboration skillsExperience in semiconductor or high-tech research and development (R&D) and manufacturing environmentsMaster's degree in computer science, data engineering, or a related field5+ years of experience in data engineering or data-focused software developmentExperience with Cassandra NoSQL databaseFamiliarity with machine learning workflows and machine learning operations (MLOps) practicesExperience with data visualization tools and business intelligence platformsApple is an equal opportunity employer that is committed to inclusion and diversity.
